THERMAL INSULATION Due to the air bubbles and its thermal mass, AAC provides excellent insulation, both in hot and cold weather, resulting in substantial energy savings.
FIRE RESISTANCE AAC is a non-combustible and fire resistant material (up to 4 hours to direct exposure). Fusion temperature of AAC is equal to other cement products at approximately 1600ºC.
ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE Building System's elements have superior sound absorption properties in comparison with other construction materials.
MOISTURE RESISTANCE Its internal structure gives AAC products a high moisture resistance more than other traditional masonry systems.
WORKABILITY Products can be easily cut, drilled and grooved with manual or power tools, providing an excellent productivity in hydro-sanitary and electrical installations as pipes or ducts can be placed after the structure has been built.
VERSATILITY The range of products satisfy a broad variety of construction needs: blocks to build both bearing and non-bearing walls, lintels to cover spans of door and window openings, roof and floor slabs, wall paneles, mortar and stuccos finishes.
CHEMICAL PROPERTIES AAC is an alkaline material with a pH between 9.0 and 10.5, so it does not cause any corrosion to building materials. Like other types of concrete, AAC must be protected from high concentrations of carbon dioxide, sulphates, chlorides and strong acids.
TOXICITY AAC does not have any toxic substances or emit odors. Its production, management and disposal do not represent any health risks or damage to the environment.
