To our prospective Supplier:


We are an OEM of bar code scanners and vision/imaging products. We manufacture most of our products, however we do carry some lines as Value Added Resale products. We are a very strong global leader in Auto ID products worldwide and we are looking to broaden our product portfolio through resale products that are private labeled.



What we are looking for is an omnidirection bar code scanner that has a wide field of view and ideally, we would like the scanners to be able to connect in a daisy-chain or multidrop configuration.



Required: 10 or more laser scan lines

Required: a scan speed of 1800scans per second or more
















Required: an RS232 interface. A USB interface is good to have also, An Ethernet interface is very good!

Required: Must be able to accept a configuration command via serial input.

A second auxillary communications port would be very good

Other communication interface methods that are good to have: RS-485/RS-422 (multidrop), DeviceNet, EthernetIP, Daisy-chain (RS232: Host port to Aux port, Host to Aux, Host to Aux...)





Must support standard codes such as: Code 39, Code 128, Int 2of5, Ind 2of5, Codabar

You must have control over the unit's firmware as we may require the firmware to be customized to allow for our "". These K-Commands are Microscan's command set to configure the scanners typical of all Microscan products. (i.e = enable Code 39 & = disable Code 39, = reset the unit, etc.).
